Rovos Rail New Route
Firstly Rovos rail would be launching a Rovos rail new route In July 2019, an east-west voyage in Africa connecting the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. A thrilling 15-day voyage passing through 4 countries Tanzania, Zambia, DRC and ends in Angola. Furthermore this would be the first time a passenger train is traversing the east to west copper trail. Announcing a whole new route after close to three decade in business is fascinating. Also it provides a delightful challenge for the company which is currently offering 7 journeys to the delight of countless local and overseas tourists.
This first luxury trip is slated for 16 July 2019 starting from Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Dar es Salaam is not new to the Rovos rail as it has been operating a Cape Town to Dar es Salaam tour since 1993. Providing numerous guests with a magnificent African safari and true adventure in absolute luxury and comfort.
Activities
The whole new journey would feature several interesting and breathtaking activities starting with a rich adventure at the Selous Game Reserve and the South Luangwa National Park while enjoying a great safari experience. In the DRC guest would have city tour of Lubumbashi and short walking tours. While in Angola you will have a rich encounter with Angola’s recent history. This safari tour is also available in reverse starting 2 August 2019 with departure from Lobito Angola.
Offerings & Luxury Experience
A great journey in three kinds of lodging are offered. A Royal suite which comes with a Victorian-styled ball-and-claw bath. A Deluxe suite and Pullman suite all having bathroom and toilets with shower and wash basin. Prices, start at USD$12 820 and vary according to the suite type. The price also includes foods, alcohol, and other drinks on board, the off-train adventure, and the safari including a two-night vacation in a game reserve. Laundry and the services of a Doctor and historian are on-board.
