In 2020, 127 years after the NCCR was formed, Derick du Toit reignited its legacy along the Breede River Valley to Mossel Bay.

Cape Town
Enjoy a relaxed steam-hauled trip through the stunning vineyards and open veld of the Breede River and Langeberg Valley, both forming the Cape Central Valley.
The Train runs every Saturday at 10h00 until 14h00.
Departures: Robertson Railway Station (secure parking available)
Check in: Plan to be there 45 minutes before departure time to check in.
R670 per person aged 12 and older
R370 per person aged 3 to 12 years old
Children under 3 travelling with a parent are free.
Pretoria

Join us for a new steam train adventure to Railways Cafe in Irene!
Departing the depot in Hermanstad on a Saturday, with two steam locomotives at 10h00, you will wind your way through Pretoria for just over an hour before arriving at Irene. While the crews service the locomotives and prepare the train for its return to Hermanstad, you can enjoy roughly 1hour and 30mins at Railways Cafe, Irene where food and drink will be available to purchase for your own account. You will depart Irene at 13h30, retracing your earlier steps and arriving back at Hermanstad at around 15h00.
